Mob mentality:

None of these people would do this as an individual, but an angry mob will do the undesirable and a scared mob will do the unthinkable. This is true of any group.
A person is smart and reasonable, people are stupid and unpredictable.

It is just disheartening to know that an agitated mob can go to the limit of chucking children out of an orphanage. Agreed that the Christians may have played a part in getting people converted but what good are the Hindus who don’t let the conversion happen. At least the missionary run orphanage gave the poor orphans a place to live and eat. Now those 20 children would be rendered homeless for no fault of theirs. Crazier Still, how can they even think of killing a teacher. It is communal bias that would bring about the doom of this country sooner or later.
