To me it seems that this might be the effect of recession. IT industry has been hit badly due to recession.

Money may be the reason because in this crucial period of recession, people are badly affected. Plus in case of corporate employees putting up alone, there is no support from either family, government or the company itself. When a person doesn't find anyone to lay on, he finds the easy option to kill himself.
